The City of Phoenix Gets Smart with MetTel IoT

Faced with intense city growth and aging infrastructure, the City of Phoenix needed a smart city solution to create a cleaner environment and optimize its spaces and resources. In 2018, Phoenix turned to MetTel for innovative IoT technologies to address the city's need for an updated waste management system. MetTel provided automated vehicle location services via IoT-connected devices that monitor fuel usage, route efficiency, scheduling maintenance, and more. The program supports the city's goal to achieve zero waste by 2050 and cuts costs significantly. MetTel's VP of Mobility and IoT Max Silber spoke to Light Reading about this and more in a recent podcast interview.

Wed, October 21st at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT

As government agencies continue to transform, connectivity has become more important than ever. But some critical connectivity has been limited by an organization’s mobile carrier, until now. Advances in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies now mean it’s possible for devices to never go offline, even if they are far from home. MetTel has worked with many organizations to deploy IoT projects that have generated cost-savings and efficiencies.

In this webinar, join Ryan Crandell, Director of IoT and Fleet Management, to hear real-world examples of how organizations are using MetTel’s IoT capabilities to:

  • Connect devices, vehicles, and workers to the strongest network signal in any location, regardless of your mobile carrier—with IoT Single SIM
  • Reduce fuel costs, optimize route efficiency, reduce speeding, and improve driver safety for mobile workforces
  • Manage and keep track of all devices and connected things in one centralized portal
